PDF Creator* PDF Creator is a software solution for creating PDF documents from virtually any file or software program. The program works as "virtual printer", so basically what you do is start whichever program your source file is for, open the source file and then select Print, choosing PDF Creator as the "printer". Using this method, you can convert to PDF pretty much any file that you can see in pretty much any Microsoft Windows application, including word processor files, spreadsheets, presentations, images from graphics and design software, files intended for multimedia programs, and more. Additionally, since Internet Explorer and Firefox both include print options, you can also easily convert web applications and content into PDF too. In the real world of course, not all documents are created in a single application. For example, it's not uncommon to want to combine text prepared in a word processor, with a spreadsheet made in Microsoft Excel, with a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. The developers of PDF Creator have fortunately considered this requirement, and as a result PDF Creator incorporates a feature that allows you to combine any number of files (which can of course be of different types) into one PDF file. PDF Creator also incorporates a number of useful security features including password protection options. You can use the security features to control whether printing is allowed or disallowed, copying of text and images is allowed or disallowed, and so forth. The program works with all recent versions of Microsoft Windows, including Vista, and is backed by a 8-week guarantee. There are a number of different licenses options available ranging for a 1 computer license, to corporate and site licenses, and there is also a free trial version available. I will not pretend that PDF Creator is cheapest program of its type on the market, but given its range of features, it may be one that you wish to consider if you need to create PDF documents, especially if you need to do so from multiple different types of source documents.
