EasyEbookPRO* (Information as of May 2008) EasyEbookPRO (which apparently is the "big brother" of an earlier program, known as "EasyEbookCreator") is a software program for creating eBooks. The eBooks that it creates are EXE files, intended to be compatible with recent versions of Microsoft Windows. The web site says that EasyEbookPro software is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP operating systems (note: I did look, but I could not find any mention of Windows Vista on the site, so check with the web site for updates or contact the software's author). Like most other EXE compilers, EasyEbookPRO converts HTML and text files created by the eBook author into an EXE format eBook. Authors do of coruse need to create these HTML (or text files) themselves, but you do have the option of using the same authors' freeware HTML editor ("EasyHTMLCreator"), or I believe, you favorite HTML editing program. EasyEBookPro includes features such as creating a table of contents, choosing an icon for the eBook, setting the eBook window size, customizing the toolbars and buttons, and customizing the About dialog box to include your own information. The program also includes security features including the ability to protect part or all of your eBook using passwords, create an expiry feature for free trials (the eBook locks after a set number of openings or a given period of time), and options to disable copying to the clipboard or right clicking. There is also an ability to create rebrandable eBooks so (if you want) you can provide the capability for your resellers or affiliates to insert their own links, etc., into your eBook.
